摘要：
目的 探索国家或地区之间牙科人力资源评价和比较的客观方法。方法 从国内外公开出版的期刊论文、网站和图书资料中获取1996~2000年的世界部分国家的人口数、各类牙科人员数等相关数据。结果 对世界部分国家人口、牙科人力情况进行了统计描述,提出了牙科人力指数的设计,对不同国家牙科人力指数进行了比较应用。结论 牙科人力指数能客观地进行国家或地区之间牙科人力资源的评价和比较。

Abstract:
Objective The purpose of this investigation is to find out a method to evaluate dental manpower resources.Meth- ods We selected population, GDP, number of dentist and number of different oral health professionals from certain internet sta- tions, published books and journals from 1996 to 2000 as our investigating data.Results Data was collected from 100 countries. Our investigation found that the design of dental manpower index to evaluate dental manpower resources was effective and conve- nient.Conclusion Dental manpower index is a good method to evaluate dental manpower resources.
